Catch it while you can…

Clinton defends himself

All I can say is I’m so glad he stepped up and got into it and didn’t get bullied into the question. I am tired of hearing how he didn’t take Bin Laden when he had the chance when he had no legal precedence to do so. What was he supposed to do, bring him to America and let him walk around and maybe go to a county fair?

The fact is, he WAS brought there to talk about his great work and instead they tried to discuss this and make him look bad for being a democrat. What a bunch of right-wing bullshit.

If Clinton could run and be President again (and no, I will not and would never vote for Hillary, not because she is a woman but because I don’t trust she would do the job well and way too opinionated on issues that I disagree on, such as violent video games), I would vote him in in a HEARTBEAT. Funny how times have been much better under democrats in the past 18 years, but I guess that was all because Reagan did such a great job that it transcended a decade and Clinton fucked it all up, right?

Go Bill, thank you for running an America I used to have a lot more pride in.

I am going to have to disagree with you on the fact that Bill ran a good country. Other than the fact that he was responsable for giving North Korea Nuclear Power Plants, which they have currently cut projects on power and moved onto Military Progression, and that Bill did not have any idea whatsoever on what was going on his his own cabinet, President Clinton also did not achieve his running campaign goals which he put so much issue upon.
The thing with President Bush is that he was able to at least meet his goals even with half of the country tearing him down whenever they can. He came into office at a horrible time. With the federal tax at a record high much of the money that should have been used was not. The democratic excuse was that it was going towards paying off the Infamous Dept of the United States when in fact it was just sitting in a bank account not even being noticed.
Just my two cents on politics. If you would like to contact me to discuss further my AIM name is unbanme1111.

Meet his goals? Really, when did we capture Osama bin Laden? During the less than 1 year Afghanistan mattered to our President?

And how about how well we’re doing in Iraq, now that the death toll is above what 9/11 cost us in lives?

  3. Just Here says:

My brother is in Iraq right now, and the death toll is as low as it has ever been in any war that we have fought. Now you do realize that Osama Bin Laden isn’t considered alive at the moment do you? The recent video was pulled from a Library Video that Osama had hid outside of an outpost on the Syrian border. So unless you can find proof that he is alive then what I said about President Bush was true. He met his goals. And just before I get accused of the infamous response “Then why are we still in Iraq?” let me enlighten you on something that I didn’t even know until I was told by my brother showed me the video tape that he recorded of it. They DID find weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. The reason it is not put on news stations is that they are wanting to search to find which bunkers they can before it goes public about what they have found already. Now if you wish to see the video I can easily upload it as soon as it is rendered. It shows the Marines Scouts and Snipers Unit (My brothers unit) finding the bunker in the middle of the desert, and then it shows them being blown up in a supervised demolition of the bunker.

Also thank you for responding. It is good to have someone to debate with.

Yet they can’t confirm his death. Just saying “Oh well, we think he’s dead” is NOT ENOUGH. The President is NOT DOING ENOUGH to catch Osama bin Laden, and we should not have gone to Iraq until the mother fucker was caught and stoned by the families of 9/11 victims, one stone at a time from all close relatives. Until we have proof, there is no reason to give up the manhunt. The fact that the President insists he is still searching for him is proof enough that he too believes he is alive, along with all the reports strictly saying we have no confirmation after some French newspaper leaked he was dead.

If anything, terrorism is NOW WORSE because of Iraq and how ill-prepared we were going in. Let me make it clear that I am not against invading Iraq and taking out Saddam Hussein (I think its crap we shipped him back to undergo trial too, we could have just killed the bastard.)

As far as WMD, duh? I mean I’m not sure that its as bad as they want us to believe, but I’m no marine finding the damn things. I do think of course that Saddam was building major weapons though, I am not that ignorant and I won’t poke fun at Bush over it. Regardless, I don’t think that was even a necessary reason to go invade. Hussein alone was. HOWEVER, I think we did not bide our time and we did not go about it properly. I feel we should have finished up in Afghanistan first, and then prepared fully to go to Iraq. Soldiers not being armored by us is simply UNACCEPTABLE. There is NO reason to rush in that fast which cost more American lives.

I will say I do think the idealogy that Iraq would simply adopt Democracy is extremely ignorant. That’s like someone coming over here and saying “Hey, have you heard about this thing called Communism? It’s really great!” I’m sure many oppressed people in Iraq who are just glad we got rid of Saddam are cool with it, but how many remain who hate America and our way of life no matter if we got rid of him or not? If your country was being bitch-smacked by one of the two world superpowers, a few times now within the last 20 years, wouldn’t you begin to get a little pissed at them REGARDLESS of the reason? When all you see is white people in green camo’d suits and big black boots running around shooting and blowing everything up? And they are there to make your way of life better? We have terrorists grabbing civilians out of cars, loading the car up with bombs, duct-taping the civilian to the car and sending him into a packed area to kill as many as possible. I’d be a bit afraid of driving or doing much of anything, at least with Saddam things were probably much calmer?

Again, I do think going and invading Iraq was ok, but how it was executed is where myself and seemingly a few retired army generals and such have a major problem.

I can see what you are saying. Great points. Curious though when you say that two world superpowers were bitch-smacking Iraq which two were you refering two? I know the United States during Desert Storm, but was the other a reference towards Russia or France or China? Just curious on your take of who you think was the worse oppressor on them. Russia for trying to control them, France for using them and then going to the UN saying that they are just fine with Saddam, or China for supplying them with over 80% of the military weapons which is being used right now over there? A friend of mine brought this point to me, and I want to see what other people say.

  6. Falaris says:

I said “one of” the two world superpowers, as in the USA out of the USA and China.
